Indonesia Earthquake: 51 People Dead

A strong earthquake hit Indonesia, leaving at least 51 people dead and more than 100 injured.

Around 5,000 people have been moved to safer places after their homes were damaged. Many people are still staying outside because they are worried about more earthquakes.

The earthquake also caused landslides and road damage, making it harder for rescue teams to reach some areas. More than 1,300 homes were damaged.

The main earthquake was followed by hundreds of smaller aftershocks, which have increased fear among local residents.

Rescue teams are working to find people trapped in damaged areas and provide help to families who have lost their homes.

Authorities are also working to clear blocked roads and restore basic services.

Indonesia experiences earthquakes regularly because it is located in an area known as the Pacific Ring of Fire, where several tectonic plates meet.
